Since embarking on her charity work Sue has met many wonderful people. But working with children is always special. When she is in the UK, she likes nothing more than visiting schools to talk about the Happy House and UK voluntary coordinator Elizabeth Gomm also enjoys working with schools, some on a regular basis. Kids working for other kids is a fantastic part of our work.
We have many schools who help us in so many ways, both in the UK and in Italy and we value them equally as our very special friends. These are just some of them
Devonshire Primary School, Blackpool: Children at Devonshire Primary School, Blackpool, enjoy following the progress of their own special Happy House child Brian. And they are an mportant part of his sponsor family. Brian has his own spot on their school blog!
Larkholme Primary School, Fleetwood: Pupils at Larkholme School heard about the Happy House through the rotary Club’s Rotakids and started raising money to help our family.
St Aidan’s Church of England Technology High, Preesall, Lancs: Students in St Aidan’s K7 look on Linus as their little “brother”. They are in his sponsor family and with the help of their teacher, Mrs Joanne Rossall, come up with all kinds of bright ideas for raising money. The whole of St Aidan's School family is a great friend to our Happy House.
St Bede's RC High School, Lytham, Lancs: St Bede's is another good friend in the school year 2014/2015, Year 9 raised more than £700 for us.
OatlandsJunior School:Oatlands Junior School in Weybridge, Surrey, sponsor Hassan, Hope and Shakila. Their Happy House friends love hearing news from their friends in the UK.
