Everything a child needs

Mwende was one of the first children to come into the care of Happy House when it opened back in 2010.

She was just a tot, clinging to her eldest brother Musyoka, when she arrived with him and their brother Francis.

They'd been living in extreme poverty with their mother who was unable to care for them. With gentle, loving, care they adapted to heir life at Happy House and have since built strong relationships with their relatives.

Mwende and Musyoka remain in our care whilst Francis is happily reunited with her grandfather.

Mwende tells us here how happy she is to be a Happy House child and how she recognises how fortunate she is compared with some of the children she sees when she is out walking locally.

Without our amazing Mama Sue her life would have been very different.
