Will's done a runner!

Will with his finisher's medasl

Taking on a 13.1mile run in blistering heat is no easy task, but Will Gordon's rigorous training paid off when he joined thousands of others taking part in the Great North Run..

Will, who lives in Thornber,Yorkshire, travelled to Newcastle Upon Tyne for the race on what turned out to be the hotest day of 2023.

Driven on by his belief in the work that we are doing at Happy House and the kindness of those people who had donated money to his fundraising page, he battled his way to the finishing line.

Will's outstanding effort has raised £1575 for Happy House which, as Papa Dave says in his video, will be spent very wisely indeed.

Will and his family have been a great support to Happy House since they visited Happy House , when it was still under construction, in 2009 and returned in 2013.

Since his first visit Will has raised thousands of pounds for us by putting on his running shoes and taking part in some very tough challenges.

Thank you, Will, from the bottom of our hearts for your love and loyalty and for raising so much money for our family.

Our thanks to each and evry person who donated sponsorship to your effort it will make such a difference to the lives of our children.
