Betty settles in

Mwanahamisi, three, has been a member of our family for a couple of weeks now and has settled in well. 

As her name is a bit difficult for some of our children to say we are calling her by the family name Betty.

This is also a chance to celebrate our friend Betty Hatch who died last month and who so adored our children,.

Little Betty, who had been in the temporary care of a rescue centre, was brought to us by the Children's Department after being found to be in need of care and protection.

Our Happy House social worker, Auntie Elina, tells us she is a happy, sociable little girl who is enjoying life with our biig family and is now in kindergarten at our primary school.
